Yellow Warning in Effect from Today for Wind in the Western Islands.

A weather front that is moving across the Atlantic is likely to bring more wind and rain to the islands, meaning AEMET has issued a yellow alert for wind.

The yellow alert has been activated as predictions show that gusts of wind could reach up to 80km/h especially at altitude. Affecting mostly areas inland oriented to the west and southwest of the islands, on northwest and southeast slopes, and on peaks at the end of the day.

Additionally, rain has been forecasted for Tenerife and La Palma on the northern slopes and only light rain forecasted in El Hierro and La Gomera and possibly Gran Canaria. Whereas Lanzarote and Fuertaventura as the most eastern islands are less likely to be affected by this weather front.

The warning is in place for tomorrow also with the map showing the same locations and islands being affected.
