AEMET has activated yellow alerts for winds, where gusts could reach up to 80km/h at the peaks and 70km/h on the slopes of the Western islands.
Today, Friday 5th, there is only a yellow alert on the island of La Gomera, but tomorrow Saturday 6th we see alerts affecting El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, Tenerife and Gran Canaria. This is due to a weather front that has brought some unsettled air to the archipelago.
Sunday will also see alerts affecting the same areas but also includes the North of Tenerife, where gusts will reach up to 80km/h.
Additionally, light rain showers have been predicted over the weekend commencing in the early hours of Saturday right through to Sunday night where we will see Lanzarote and Fuerteventura also been affected by these light showers.
