Hopes Raised for Tenerife's Restriction Level to be Lowered.

The governing council are to meet on Thursday 11th with hopes of reducing the restriction level for Tenerife down to level 1. President Angél Torres has said that the situation "is improving with respect to the pandemic".

With incidence rates of 30 over 7 days being maintained for the last few weeks, finally, it is looking likely that the restriction level can be reduced, with the curfew being relaxed to 01:00 a.m. Additionally, if the level is reduced, people will, at last, be able to meet in larger groups of 10 people, something which Tenerife residents have not been able to do since November.

President Torres also goes on to say "we have the Governing Council meeting on Thursday, we will update the measures", implying that the restrictions could be reduced and not just in Tenerife but across the archipelago.

As always, as with the "New Normal", Nothing is set in stone and the situation can change week on week depending on the evolution of the pandemic.

If we follow the guidelines and remain vigilant, we can, together, find a way back to normality.

Stay safe.
