Forecast for the Current Calima Over the Next Couple of Days.

For this week we have been forecasted Calima, desert sand suspended in the air, bringing higher temperatures and dryer air.

This natural weather phenomenon occurs when winds whip up sand from the Sahara Desert to our east and carries it over the ocean to our islands, bringing with it increased temperatures and dryer air.

In the video from the application windy.com, you can see the dust coming over from Africa and the heavier it gets the deeper brown it becomes.

As you can see so far the Calima will be with us until Wednesday, but this could be until the weekend from reports by AEMET.
