This current Calima is forecasted to stay with us right up through to Friday night and into the early hours of Saturday.
As you can see in the video below from the Windy App, the Calima will stay with us until Friday night/early Saturday albeit a bit weaker than it has been over the last couple of days.
If the Calima was to get heavier, you would see a darker shade of brown pass over the islands in the video, but luckily, the level of dust in the air will slowly reduce over the next couple of days.
Late on Friday night and early into Saturday a northwestern weather front will slowly sweep across the islands, bringing with it, fresher air and clearer skies. In the video, this is represented by the white and lighter colours which come in from the top left. By 23:00 hours on Friday night, the fresher air should be surrounding La Palma - therefore through Saturday, I would imagine that the weather front would also pass over the remainder of the islands.
From this point on normal weather for this time of year should return.
